TWO FIRST DRAFTS DELIVERED …
… yesterday and today. THE DRUMMER BOY OF WATERLOO first-draft score has gone to Novello & Co, and demos of the new Chronometer tracks have gone to Riverrun. The time-scale of these two works is very different. The opera has been in progress for months, and it will probably need to be finished by the early autumn. The electronic tracks are new and recent, and we have studio dates for completion in late July, hoping for a summer release. Following comments (favourable, I’m happy to say) on the STEAMPUNK ETC release, the new tracks will be longer. Also this summer we shall be recording the back-tracks for the OTTER primary school pantomime, ready for the new school year.
Another piece of good news. Ceramic Review has asked for an article on String Quartet no 4 in their November issue.
And – to cap it all – the sun is shining.
