PLEASE EXCUSE …
… such a long gap between Blogs. I’m not sure what happened, except that three projects which I thought would have each taken their next step by now – and I was waiting to tell you about them – have all been subject to their own unexpected delays.
The new download brass album is mastered ready and is waiting on its cover. John Mercer and I have given the music a new slant and an unusual context. That should be ready for download and streaming within a couple of weeks. THE DRUMMER BOY OF WATERLOO promotional video is in progress and expected to be finished by the end of this month, February, at which time (or soon after) you will be able to see it on this site. YOU, ME AND A PIANO (the show written with Phil Bowen) is waiting on a meeting with a Director and a decision as to who will sing on the demo. This one is likely to be delayed a little further, though the show is pretty much good to go.
I am working on a new collection of characteristic pieces. Again, you will probably first encounter it as a Riverrun release, though the music is also destined for synchronisation. I expect that to be ready in about three months or so. Then, well who knows? Probably another theatre piece and a new CHRONOMETER set to fill out the year.
Oh, yes, and the children’s project with Ron Roker (Blog of October 23, 2015) is not forgotten. Working with the wonderful artist Paul Solomons we are close to having something rather special.
So to my graphic for this Blog … Well, much of my week has been filled with preparatory editing on the DBW promo, so here is another picture from the show: a wonderful photo by David Hermon.
